The ultimate “no makeup-makeup” look…
Today I wanted to chat about one of my all time favorite accessories – sunglasses! Over the years I have accumulated quite a few pairs and love to wear them year round – but of course, especially in summer when the sun is out in full blast. I thought it was appropriate, immediately following Memorial Day Weekend, that we begin to discuss them. There is something about a fabulous pair of sunglasses that I have always been quite drawn to, ever since I was young. I love how they accentuate and add instant personality to any outfit. But, let’s be real, they are also the ideal piece to throw on when maybe you haven’t acquired your requisite eight hours of sleep the night before and/or threw back a few too many glasses of vino. They instantly mask dark circles, blood shot, or tired eyes, and allow you to run out of the house without a stitch of makeup on.
Like most, I think that I have always been drawn to the sleek, expensive pairs, ogling them from afar. However, recently I have subscribed to a new train of thought. Since nine times out of ten, our sunnies end up getting worn to death, dropped, scratched, or simply lost – why not start investing in some less expensive pairs? That way, you won’t feel as distraught if they end up getting scratched or haphazardly flung into the ocean and you can switch up your look more often. Also, with so many chic high end dupes on the market right now, it really seems like a no brainer to invest in a few more fun, less expensive options for summer. (That way you can save your pennies for all those summer travels still on the bucket list). Without further adieu, see below for my top sunglasses picks. I’ve mixed in a few investment pieces, but for the most part these are all great and affordable pairs. I am especially loving this brand and this millennial pink pair is dreamy.
Have the best day!
